Joe Turner’s Come and Gone

August Wilson's second installment in The Pittsburgh Cycle.

Story:

Seth and Bertha Holly keep a warm, orderly home for those navigating uncertain paths. But when a mysterious man named Herald Loomis arrives with his young daughter, the stillness of the house begins to shift. As his past slowly unravels, long-buried truths come to light—and everyone within the house is called to reckon with the meaning of freedom, identity, and belonging.
