The Seafarer

The Seafarer

Conor McPherson's chilling play about the sea, Ireland, and the power of myth.

Story:

It's Christmas Eve, and Sharky has returned to the family home north of Dublin to look after his irascible, aging brother, Richard, who has recently gone blind. Old drinking buddies Ivan and Nicky show up, hoping to play some cards. But with the arrival of "Mr. Lockhart," a menacing stranger from the distant past, the stakes are raised ever higher. In fact, Sharky may be playing for his very soul.
